New Home Inspiration

via Sweet as a Candy

In less than 4 weeks we'll be moving into our new home!

I can hardly wait and am so excited to begin the design and decor process. Of course, I've been saving images for inspiration as I've decided to not stick completely with my current look.

I currently have a subtle French Country feel to my home with a mix of bold colors, but I'd like to convert over to a more neutral mix of whites, distressed furniture, sparkly chandeliers, galvanized tin - with splashes of green and maybe aqua blue.

via The Lettered Cottage

We'll have wood floors throughout the first floor with an open floor concept. I think I am the most excited about the mud room - a room I have longed for! I can already picture large gatherings of friends and family in our new space!

If you have any suggestions of great places to begin shopping - either online or in the Indianapolis area then I would love to hear from you!

I apologize that I didn't save where I found the above images - I would love to give them credit. If you happen to know then please share and I'll update with links!

Don't let Amelia hear you say you like distressed. she's already been helping with that end of design.

Jennifer, it was a pleasure to meet you at Stella and Dot this past Sat. There is a fantastic antique store in Lincoln Park in Chicago (not sure how far you want to travel). It has many great finds. www.vintagepine.com. Their online site doesn't really do the store much justice. Best of luck with your move!
